CT Man Gets 40-Year Sentence For Child Exploitation
A Connecticut man will spend decades behind bars after being sentenced for child exploitation offenses.
Hartford County resident Jonathan Monson, of Granby, was convicted in October last year of four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, eight counts of distribution of child pornography, two counts of receipt of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography.
On Monday, May 24, Monson, age 39, was sentenced in federal court in Springfield to 40 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts announced.

A New York man has been arrested on a warrant for allegedly forcing a Fairfield County teen into sending him nude photos of herself.
Anthony Pangallo, age 37, of Rego Park, in Queens, was arrested on the warrant on Tuesday, May 25, by Westport Police for the incident which took place late last year.
According to Westport Police Lieutenant David Wolf, in December, the department's detective bureau received a report of the possible exploitation of a local teenager.

A 41-year-old mother of three from Connecticut is facing 14 years behind bars for her alleged attempts to have sex with a 14-year-old boy at a Pennsylvania hotel, authorities said.
Sarah Norton, of Jewett City, a borough in New London County, met the teen while “gaming” online, according to Acting United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams.
Norton then attempted to seduce the boy into engaging in sexually explicit contact through online messaging and cell phone conversations, Williams said.

A 78-year-old Connecticut man could serve up to 20 years in prison after over 500,000 images and videos of children being sexually abused were allegedly found on his computer by police.
Homeland Security Investigations in Boston received a complaint that John T. Perugini, of Waterbury, had been paying for access to a porn website specializing in videos depicting children, the office of U.S. Attorney John H. Durham just announced.
