Crash Closes All Lanes Of Route 3 In Clifton
A motor vehicle crash closed all lanes of Route 3 in Clifton Thursday afternoon, Jan. 2, the NJDOT site shows. It happened around 3:10 p.m. east of Bloomfield Avenue in the eastbound lanes. Police tell Daily Voice only one vehicle was involved and no injuries were reported. Major delays were being reported.

Drunk NYE Driver Had Bizarre Excuse For Confusion In Stafford, Sheriff
A New Year’s Eve joyride turned into a night in jail for a Stafford man who was caught driving the wrong way, drunk, and dishing out some unconvincing excuses, authorities said. The chaos unfolded at 6:27 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2024, when Deputy S.T. Myers spotted a Ford F-150 barreling northbound in the southbound lanes of Warrenton Road. Serious Rollover Crash Shuts Route 9 In Haddam
Route 9 in Haddam was closed Thursday morning, Jan. 2 for a serious crash, officials said. CT State Police said the crash involved a one-vehicle rollover in the southbound lanes near Exit 15. Driver Charged In Deadly New Year's Pedestrian Crash In Plainview, Cops Say
A 39-year-old Queens, NY woman has been charged in connection with a crash that claimed the life of a 38-year-old pedestrian on Long Island on New Year's, authorities said. Veronica Marmol, of College Point, was behind the wheel of a 2018 Jeep Wrangler heading east when she struck the man on Old Country Road near Floral Avenue in Plainview, just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, Nassau County police said.
