National Guard Recruit, 19, ID'd As Victim Pinned Under Car, Left Critical In CT Bakery Crash The 19-year-old man critically injured when a car slammed through the front of a Connecticut bakery last week has been identified by family as a National Guard recruit. Eric Fernandez was inside Rosa Vega Bakery in Torrington enjoying lunch when a 58-year-old man crashed his car through the front of the building around 11:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, according to a GoFundMe campaign and details previously reported by Daily Voice.
