Officers Save Unresponsive Girl, 2, In Edgewater: Police
An unresponsive 2-year-old girl was saved by Edgewater police officers early this week, officials said.
Sgt. Wetklow, Ptl. Monroe, Ptl. Massuda, Ptl. Cabrera, and Ptl. Ebenhack responded to reports of a child who was not responsive or breathing at a River Road apartment around 6:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, Chief Donald A. Martin said.
The child's mother was performing lifesaving care, but the officers immediately took over and performed CPR, utilizing an automated external defibrillator and bag valve mask, Martin said.

Support is on the rise for the family of a victim who died days after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Malaga, authorities said.
Elishama Louis, 20, died from her injuries on Monday, Oct. 14, five days after being struck on Delsea Drive near the Riggins and Wawa gas stations, police in Franklin Township said.
