NJ Woman Killed In Times Square Stabbing, Suspect Fatally Shot By Police
A 32-year-old New Jersey woman was killed after she was stabbed in Times Square Monday, Aug. 31, authorities said.
At 4:24 p.m., police responded to Times Square after Pamela Cisneros, a 49-year-old Queens woman, had stabbed Erin Piacenti, a Chester resident, and a 68-year-old man, the New York City Police Department said. The victims were transported to a nearby hospital where Piacenti was pronounced dead, the NYPD said. The other victim was in stable condition, police said.

A correctional sergeant, his wife, and their two children were killed when their car plunged about 60 feet down a steep embankment on Saturday, Aug. 29, state police said.
Pennsylvania State Troopers were called around 10:16 a.m. to the area of 1365 Rock Mountain Drive in Gibson Township, Susquehanna County, where first responders found the sedan down the embankment.

Driver, Parents Charged In Death Of CT 4-Year-Old Akari Cortes
Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of 4-year-old Akari Cortes, including the driver who struck the child and her parents, police said.
Akari was hit near East Center and Munro streets in Manchester at 4:36 a.m. on June 10, police said.
Manchester police officers and firefighters performed lifesaving measures before Akari was taken to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

Montville Man Takes Plea, Faces 18 Months In Prison For Deadly ATV Crash
A Connecticut man has accepted an 18-month prison term in an ATV crash that killed his passenger.
Cecil E. Grimes, 33, of Montville, pleaded guilty to misconduct with a motor vehicle on Aug. 3, court records show. The plea avoided a trial scheduled for this month.
Grimes is set to be sentenced Oct. 13. His five-year sentence will be suspended after he serves 18 months. He will then spend five years on probation, according to The Day.
The case stems from a July 18, 2021, crash that killed Ashley Bizzell, 32, of Boston.

A New York native found dead on a work trip to Nashville was located in under five hours by private investigators, according to their organization.
The body of Conor Anderson, 31, was found by Covert Results PI firm, which revealed details of the search on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
