BET Host, Radio Legend Angela Stribling Dies
Angela Stribling, a former BET host, jazz artist, and longtime radio personality whose voice became a staple in Washington, DC, and beyond, has died, loved ones announced on social media Sunday, Sept. 27.
A cause of death was not made public.
Her friend and former BET colleague Ed Gordon was one of many mourning her loss.
“So very sad to hear Angela Stribling has passed away. We worked together and became friends during our years at the network and remained friends once we both moved on to other opportunities.”

Naked Eyes announced Wednesday, Sept. 23, that Pete Byrne, the singer and songwriter for the British synth-pop group, had died at age 74.
Byrne died peacefully in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, Sept. 14, following a brief illness, according to the announcement posted on the band’s website.

Virgil J. Naveda, 56, of Darien, Connecticut, was arrested during an incident at the Bedford Service Area on southbound I-684 at around 3:24 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, New York State Police said on Thursday, Sept. 24.

A Connecticut man faces kidnapping and robbery charges after two armed men forced a clerk into an office during a robbery at a Wethersfield motel, police said.
