CT Woman Guilty Of Home Invasion After 911 Call Captures Screams, Child Pleads for Help: DA
A Connecticut woman has been found guilty in a violent home invasion where she and three others attacked a man and woman in front of the victim’s 13-year-old daughter, authorities said.
Tashi Sistrunk, 37, of Bridgeport, was found guilty Thursday, Jan. 29, of home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, second-degree assault, and risk of injury, the state’s attorney’s office said. The attack happened at about 11 a.m. on July 22, 2024, when Sistrunk entered a Bridgeport home and assaulted two adult victims.
Officials said three other people also took part.

A robbery suspect wounded by a Connecticut state trooper in 2023 during a violent confrontation has been charged in the violent attack, police said.
Ruben Muller, 43, of Milford, Massachusetts, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 13, on firearms, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, and other charges, according to Connecticut State Police.

Ex-Con Charged With Murder After Deadly Weekend Fight, Cops Say
An ex-con from Waterbury has been charged with murder following what police described as a deadly “physical disturbance” inside a city apartment building over the weekend.
Kendren Barnes, 47, was identified as one of the individuals involved in the incident at 144 Grove St. on Saturday, Dec. 27, which left one person dead, police said. The victim was not identified. Barnes was taken into custody on Monday, Dec. 29, and charged with murder, according to authorities. He was turned over to court and issued a $2.5 million bond, police said.
