State police have arrested a Connecticut man accused of sexually assaulting his late fiancée's best friend after she traveled to Connecticut for the woman's funeral.
Roberto Gonzalez, 64, of Killingly, was arrested Thursday, July 9, following a two-year investigation into the alleged 2022 attack, Connecticut State Police announced Friday. He is charged with first-degree sexual assault, first-degree unlawful restraint, and third-degree assault. Police said he was released on a $125,000 bond.
