Racist Remarks Made At Fairfield County Meeting Being Investigated As Hate Crime, Police Say A hate crime investigation is underway in one Fairfield County town after an unknown person joined a video conference meeting and allegedly made racist remarks. The incident took place on Thursday, April 22, during a meeting of the Racial Equity and Justice Task Force in Fairfield, Police Chief Robert Kalamaras said.
