Investigation Underway Into Police-Involved Shooting Of Man Who Stole Bristol Cop Car The state Office of Inspector General is investigating an officer-involved shooting during the theft of a police cruiser following an armed carjacking that ended with the vehicle crashing into a popular restaurant. The incident took place in Bristol on Thursday, Jan. 12 following the carjacking of a Toyota at knifepoint in Farmington. The suspect in the Farmington carjacking had earlier carjacked another car in Hartford.
