Tributes are pouring in for a 48-year-old Connecticut father and rapper who was killed in a police-involved shooting in Western Massachusetts this past weekend. Residents in a northern Connecticut town are speaking out after an Enfield High School football player was called a racial slur during his team's annual fundraising program. The player approached a home to sell a "fundraising item" when the homeowner called the player a racial slur among other statements on Saturday, Aug. 13, Enfield Superintendent Christopher J. A 14-year-old Connecticut girl was hit and killed by a texting driver who had allegedly been swerving all over the roadway prompting 911 calls, according to police. Hartford County resident Jaylene Gonzalez of Enfield was hit by a pickup truck around 3:15 p.m., Sunday, March 6, as she walked along 150 North Road with her 12-year-old cousin in East Windsor. A popular sandwich shop is set to open a new location in Connecticut later this week. Jersey Mike's Subs announced that it will host the grand opening in Hartford County on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Search And Rescue: Police Seek Lost Man At Height Of Winter Storm
As snow poured down from the night sky, Enfield Police received a report of a man wandering, apparently lost in the woods. The call came in around 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1 when a resident observed a familiar person walk through their yard and into the woods, police said. “They felt this was highly unusual, especially since it was 27 degrees out,” police said.
