A 31-year-old man was found guilty this week of slashing someone with a knife during a bar fight last year, officials announced.
Kevin Patricio Pereira of Danbury was convicted of assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment, threatening, and breach of peace in the April 13, 2024, attack, the state prosecutor's office said.
Authorities said Pereira cut the victim's neck and arm during a fight at Boemia Café on Wildman Street in Danbury. A bartender jumped in and broke up the fight.

A 24-year-old Connecticut man turned himself in to police after allegedly stabbing someone during a confrontation, authorities said.
Adonis Jenkins was charged with first-degree assault, assault of an elderly person, and breach of peace in connection with the Salem Walk stabbing, Milford police said.
