Three more men have been charged in an alleged $245 million cryptocurrency robbery plot that federal prosecutors say led to the violent kidnapping of a Danbury couple.
Sedric Louis, 32, John Davis, 34, and Martel Williams, 27, all of St. Louis, were charged after a federal grand jury in New Haven returned a second superseding indictment on May 22, 2026, according to U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Sullivan.

Police ID 2 Men Killed In CT Shooting, Give Update On 13-Year-Old Hurt In Attack
Two men were killed, and a 13-year-old girl was injured after gunfire erupted during what police believe was a prearranged meeting.
Chavis Goldson, 19, and Lorenzo Foreman, 25, were both killed during a shooting at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, in the 50 block of Judson Avenue in New Haven, according to police.
Responders were called around 8:30 p.m. and found the men suffering from life-threatening injuries. Paramedics took them to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Police have arrested a second man in a deadly Connecticut home invasion that left a 69-year-old man dead and a woman shot in the head, authorities said
Ivan Barias-Florimon, 24, of the Bronx, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 5, in New York City with assistance from the U.S. Marshals' Office. He is charged with murder, murder in commission of a felony, home invasion, and first-degree assault of an elderly victim during a Milford home invasion in June. Authorities said he is being held in New York City while awaiting extradition to Connecticut.

Starting Tuesday, Aug. 4, the pizzeria will begin hiring for positions at The SoNo Collection through a series of hiring sessions on Level 1 of the shopping center's Bloomingdale's Court.

CT Driver Killed After Losing Control On I-691, Hitting Guardrail, Slamming Into Truck: Police
Authorities have identified a 67-year-old Connecticut man as the driver killed in an Interstate 691 West crash earlier this week.
John Vincent Ireton Sr., of Waterbury, was driving in the left lane around 8:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, when he lost control of his Chevrolet Prism near Exit 3 in Meriden, went onto the shoulder, hit a guardrail, and slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer, Connecticut State Police said.
Paramedics rushed Ireton to MidState Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
