Shayne F. Vaccaro, 22, of Halfmoon, slammed another prisoner’s head into a toilet at Saratoga County jail on Sunday, July 19, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
The victim was hospitalized with injuries to his face and head, while Vaccaro was charged with second-degree assault, authorities said. He was arraigned in Milton Town Court, then sent back to jail, police said.

Officers responded to the 300 block of JFK Boulevard after two people, Joseph Lyon, a 40-year-old Bensalem resident and Megan Soley, a 47-year-old Levittown resident, forcibly entered an occupied motel unit by kicking in the door and assaulted occupants inside, North Wildwood police said.
