The Glen Burnie Army veteran was preparing to marry his fiancée, Jen, in November, while building a life with two young children, Jae and Jax, who friends say adored the man they called Dad.

A pregnant woman and her unborn son died after her hair was tangled in a go-kart, according to reports.
Baylee Olivia Johnson died from her injuries at a hospital in Florence, South Carolina, on Monday, Aug. 31. The 24-year-old's hair became caught in a sprocket on the go-kart on Sunday, Aug. 23, according to the Sumter County Coroner.
Johnson was 15 weeks pregnant when the incident happened, her family told WIS News 10. She and her boyfriend had recently learned they were expecting a baby boy and planned to name him Johnny.

No School, No Sports: Prince George's Closes All Schools, Reschedules Games After Storms
A rough start to Friday has forced a major change for families across Maryland.
Prince George’s County Public Schools announced that all schools will be closed on Friday, Sept. 4, after early morning storms knocked out power to dozens of schools and offices across the district.
Downed trees and power lines are also slowing recovery efforts, school officials said.
As of 7:20 a.m., more than 30 schools and facilities were without power, including Central High, Fairmont Heights High, Kettering Middle, Walker Mill Middle and multiple elementary schools.
