Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting Under Investigation In West Haven Police in Connecticut shot and killed a suspect Thursday evening, Sept. 19, near a car wash in New Haven County.  The shooting happened around 5 p.m. near the Splash Car Wash on Boston Post Road in West Haven. CT Hit-Run Crash Kills 1, Closes 2 Roadways For Hours A 64-year-old Connecticut man is dead following a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash that closed two major roadways for several hours. The crash occurred in New Haven around 4:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, in the area of  South Frontage Road and College Street. According to Officer Christian Bruckhart of the New Haven Police, a preliminary investigation found a vehicle driving on South Frontage Road went through a red light and collided with a vehicle driving on College Street at the intersection. Man Accused Of Attempting To Drown Young Children At CT Beach A 41-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly attempting to drown two young children at a Connecticut beach. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 2:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, at a West Haven beach in the area of Ocean Avenue and Dawson Avenue.
