Police Dog Helps Foil Home Invasion, Capture Suspects After High-Stakes Chase In Milford: Cops A Connecticut home invasion led to a late-night beach chase, ending with a man and a juvenile in handcuffs thanks to a police dog named Rip, authorities said.  Milford police responded to a home on Milford Point Road around 2:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, after reports of an attempted car theft escalated into a home invasion. As officers arrived, they spotted a black BMW speeding away. Responding officers deployed stop sticks near Milford Point Road and Deerwood Avenue, forcing the car to stop. Teen Steals Car Used By City Workers, Uses It In Street Takeover: Police A 17-year-old Connecticut boy stole a Crown Victoria car in Fairfield County and used it as part of a street takeover event, authorities said.  The teen, who was not ID'd because of his age, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief in the first degree, Norwalk police said.  The Norwalk Engineering Department used the 2010 Crown Victoria — the same model of cars police use —and it was last seen parked at city hall on Thursday, Oct. 10, authorities said. 16-Year-Old Suspect Nabbed In Shooting Of Teen At Norwalk Housing Complex A 16-year-old suspect has been apprehended for allegedly shooting another teen in Fairfield County. The incident happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday, July 13 in Norwalk at the Roodner Court Public Housing Complex at 261 Ely Ave.  Norwalk PD patrol officers arrived on the scene and found evidence that shots had been fired.  As officers were on scene, information was gained that a 15-year-old victim had been dropped off at Norwalk Hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
