At Yale New Haven Hospital, Rebecca Robles was born at 12:53 a.m., weighing six pounds, six ounces. Proud parents Irmaris and Dibamny Robles of New Haven celebrated the arrival of their fourth daughter.
“The family is doing great and getting some well-deserved rest,” hospital officials said.
Meanwhile, over at Bridgeport Hospital, the first baby of the year arrived just a couple of hours later. Phoniex Marrero was born at 2:33 a.m., weighing eight pounds, three ounces and measuring 22 inches long.
Phoniex’s mother, Judith Marrero of Bridgeport, shared her joy as the baby girl joined her siblings, 5-year-old Nikolai and 4-year-old Blanca.
At Stamford Hospital, Lily Rose arrived at 5:44 a.m. She weighed seven pounds and measured 20 inches tall.
