WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Library will host New York Times-bestselling author Gretchen Rubin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, for her paperback launch of "Better Than Before" in an effort to help get everyone back on track for the new year.
Rubin's book, "Better Than Before: What I Learned About Making and Breaking Habits - to Sleep More, Quit Sugar, Procrastinate Less, and Generally Build a Happier Life" hits just about all the hot buttons for a better new year.
The Internet sensation and master blogger's books have sold more than two million copies worldwide, in more than 30 languages. On her popular weekly podcast, ‘Happier with Gretchen Rubin,’ she discusses good habits and happiness with her sister Elizabeth Craft; they’ve been called the ‘Click and Clack of podcasters.’
Rubin is the author of several books, including the blockbuster New York Times bestsellers, "The Happiness Project" and "Happier at Home."
In her provocative yet practical "Better Than Before," which is also a New York Times bestseller, Rubin turns her attention to the crucial question: How do we change our habits? With her signature mix of rigorous research, easy humor and personal experimentation, Rubin identifies and illustrates the core principles of habit change.
“The timing of Gretchen’s paperback introduction and her visit to Wilton Library are perfect," said Karen Danvers, program manager for Wilton Library."With the start of the new year, everyone is focused on making things better in their lives, and coming to her talk is a great way to get started or keep motivated."
The purchase of the book, "Better Than Before" is the entry into the event. The price is $16 and includes two seats at the event and one paperback copy of "Better Than Before." A portion of the book sales will benefit the Wilton Library. Additional books will be available for purchase.
There will be a Q&A and book signing after the talk. To register, visit www.wiltonlibrary.org and click on Rubin’s book on the homepage or contact Karen Danvers at firstname.lastname@example.org, 203-762-3950 Ext. 247.
