High School Baseball Field Machete Attack: Man Critically Injured In Bridgeport A 26-year-old man is in critical condition after being attacked with a machete at a high school baseball field in Fairfield County. The incident took place on Sunday, June 18 around 8:15 p.m. in Bridgeport at the John F. Kennedy Stadium located on the grounds of Central High School at 1 Lincoln Blvd. When Bridgeport Police Department officers arrived on the scene they found the man suffering from a very large wound to the abdomen.  The victim was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition, said Capt.
