Danbury Firefighters Cross Street To Battle Deli Fire Danbury firefighters only had to walk across the street to fight a fire at a local deli after a person came into the station and told them the restaurant was on fire. The fire was discovered just before 5 p.m. Thursday when the person stopped in Engine Company 23 on Osborne Street and told them there was smoke coming from the Deli across the street at 2 Germantown Road, said Firefighter James Gagliardo, communications officer.
