The incident took place around 12:15 p.m., Friday, July 26, when officers received a tip that a gun was "hidden," on the property of the Boys & Girls Club, on Delaware Avenue, said Stamford Police Capt. Osborne notified the Darien Police Commission and First Selectman Jayme Stevenson earlier this week that he will be retiring on September 1. Osborne’s career began in 1983 after working with the Easton Police Department in 1981. In December of 1996, he was appointed to the Detective Division.
