WESTON, Conn. -- Glen Englander is offering area seniors a diverse tennis program tailored to the young at heart.
Every Sunday from 1:30-2:30 p.m., he is hosting a senior’s workshop at Weston High School, 115 School Road.
No RSVP necessary; just bring your racquet. The fee is $15 per session.
“Playing tennis is more than just a way to get the body moving,” Englander said in a press release. "It benefits coordination, strategy, endurance and competitiveness along with the opportunity for participants to meet one another and socialize.”
By organizing a calendar of senior events, Englander's goal is to encourage players of all ranks and ages to take their rackets out of mothballs and get back on the court.
A former tennis director at Westport and Wilton high schools, Englander is the director for Fairfield County Senior Tennis and on the pro staff of Four Season’s Racquet Club in Wilton.
