REDDING, Conn. - Florence M. Carlson, of Redding, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, Aug. 3. She was 96.
Carlson was born in Narpes, Finland and was an area resident most of her life. She was a member of the Scandinavian Club in Fairfield .
Carlson is survived by a son, Ralph Carlson; daughter, Linda Hoyt (Michael) all of Redding; brother, Hjalmar Granskog of Redding; a granddaughter; a great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 44 Portland Ave., Georgetown. Burial will be private.
Donations may be made to either the North Shore Animal League or to a charity of ones choice.
