A downed tree on Riverside Avenue was to blame for a power outage that left 430 residents in the dark for two hours Monday morning.
The outage hit homes on Wilton Road, Kings Highway North, Post Road West, Riverside Avenue, Treadwell Avenue, Sylvan Road South and surrounding areas just before 4:30. Power was restored just before 6:30 said Mitch Gross, a spokesperson for Connecticut Light & Power.
