Adopt a Dog or Cat at the Easton Animal Shelter

EASTON, Conn. — Four of the eight puppies born to a young dog at the Easton Animal Shelter on May 13 are available for adoption. The mother may also be adopted, and the shelter has kittens available, too.

The brown and white puppies are a pit bull and terrier mix, according to Kelly Fitch, Easton Police animal control officer.

The dogs can be adopted July 9, eights weeks after they were born. The kittens are available now.

The puppies are available for $70, which includes a standard $50 fee and $20 for a microchip used to identify lost dogs. The price also includes free shots and a discount on spaying or neutering from a veterinarian affiliated with the animal shelter. The kittens are $50, which includes shots and a spaying discount.

The animal shelter is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Call 203-268-9172 to make an appointment to see the animals.
