Voters nationally prefer Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris over her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, a brand-new survey by Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey shows. The seven-point margin (50 to 43) is largely due to race and gender, the FDU poll shows. A local man was found dead in the Aspetuck River after police were notified of a submerged vehicle in Fairfield County. A Fairfield County man was charged with alleged DWI/drugs after ignoring an officer's signal to stop and driving into a construction zone. The incident occurred in New Canaan at around 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, at a construction site on Silvermine Road. According to Lt. A Connecticut home was described as a house of horrors for the more than 100 animals that were trapped inside and with limited access to food, water, and clean air, authorities said.
