Woman Stopped Near Intersection In Fairfield County Drove Under Influence, Police Say
A Fairfield County woman was arrested for alleged DUI after police received calls of a possible intoxicated driver.
The incident took place in New Canaan around 9:20 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 22 in the area of Frogtown Road and Weed Street.
According to Lt. Jason Ferraro, of the New Canaan Police, responding officers found the vehicle stopped on Frogtown Road near Hanford Lane.
Upon speaking with the driver, identified as Christina Lynette Furniss, age 43, of Stamford, officers detected signs of impairment, Ferraro said.

Man Accused Of Having DUI Three Times Legal Limit Following Fairfield County Crash
A local man has been arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol limit at more than three times the legal limit following a crash in Fairfield County.
Michael Zerdy was arrested on Friday, Feb. 19, for the incident which took place in November in New Canaan, said Lieutenant Jason Ferraro of the New Canaan Police.
According to Ferraro, Zerdy, age 40, of New Canaan, was driving in the area of Weed Street and Old Samford, when he crashed into a utility pole.
During the investigation, a blood alcohol test found that his level was .292 percent, more than three times the legal limit of .08 …
Stamford Teen, Two Minors Caught Hiding After Stealing From Vehicles In New Canaan, Police Say
Three teenagers attempted to hide from investigators in Fairfield County after being busted stealing from parked vehicles, police said.
Officers from the New Canaan Police Department responded to the intersection of Richmond Hill Road and Weed Street at approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, where there were reports of suspects rummaging through parked vehicles.
Police said that officers located the first suspect, Stamford resident Kaymani Robinson, 19, hiding under a parked car in an Ash Tree Lane driveway.
Robinson, who is on probation, was taken into custody without incident…
