A woman who was allegedly part of a well-organized shoplifting ring working with three other women was busted for stealing more than $13,000 in merchandise from a Fairfield County Victoria's Secret. The incident took place in Stamford in May of 2022 when a group of four women who were well organized and equipped with bags to defeat loss prevention detectors went into Victoria's Secret and took $13,000 worth of merchandise, said Sgt. Seven Hartford women who stole over $100,000 from Victoria's Secret locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts over the span of nine months by returning stolen merchandise were convicted of felonies and could spend up to 20 years apiece in prison, according to the office of U.S. Attorney John H. Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Permanently Closing Stores Nationwide
Victoria’s Secret will permanently close about 250 stores in the United States and Canada this year, parent company L Brands announced. Ohio-based L Brands did not detail the closure locations, but there are 1,635 stores nationwide. L Brands also announced that 51 Bath & Body Works stores in the U.S. and Canada will close this year. New York & Co. Back At Danbury Mall In New Location
Wondered what happened to New York & Company at Danbury Fair Mall? It's back. "The store re-opened on the upper level near JCPenney today. Which is very exciting as the store has been missed," said Melissa Eigen, Danbury Fair marketing manager. The retailer of women's career clothing and accessories left the mall in December when it occupied a space on the lower level across from Victoria's Secret. An area man wanted for stealing nearly $2,000 in merchandise at Victoria’s Secret at the Connecticut Post Mall has been taken into police custody in Milford. Investigators at the Milford Police Department announced that they have arrested New Haven Resident Stephen Blackshear, 28, who was wanted on an active arrest warrant for stealing from the mall. A U.S. Postal worker has been charged with stealing credit cards from local residents and then using the cards -- including Target and Victoria's Secret cards -- to charge hundreds of dollars in merchandise and services from local businesses. Felicia Rogers of Cedar Street in Bridgeport was charged with multiple counts of identity theft, credit card theft and forgery. She was released after posting $25,000 bond.
