State Police troopers were called to the southbound lanes of Route 15 near exit 58 in the town of Woodbridge in New Haven County at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5, where there were reports of a body in the roadway. Driver Loses Control, Striking Curb, Pole In Trumbull A utility pole and lawn received damage after a driver lost control of the vehicle. The incident took place around 9:50 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, on Madison Avenue in Trumbull, said Trumbull Police Lt. Brian Weir. According to Weir, a vehicle was traveling north on Madison Avenue when the vehicle struck the curb on the right side of the road, then swerved across Madison Avenue where it struck a utility pole.  There was pole and lawn damage sustained, he said. Bear Struck, Killed On Highway In Fairfield County A bear was struck and killed by a vehicle on I-84 in Newtown on Saturday, causing minor injuries to the occupants.  According to Chris Collibee, a spokesman for DEEP,  the department was notified by the state police that the 80-pound untagged bear was hit around 7 p.m. on the westbound side of the roadway.
