A Connecticut police officer was charged with breach of peace after he allegedly slapped a prisoner who was handcuffed to a hospital bed. Hartford Police Officer Marcello Confeiteiro was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 28, and released on a promise to appear. According to Lt. The death of a man who was placed into custody after experiencing a mental health crisis and severely injuring himself has prompted an investigation by the Connecticut Office of the Inspector General into the incident. A police officer is under investigation by Connecticut State Police after shooting a suspect in the leg. The incident took around 7 a.m., Monday, April 26, in New Haven County when the two people ran up to the Derby officer's police cruiser as he was sitting at a traffic light, said State Police Trooper Joe Dorelus. Four Connecticut police officers who fatally shot an unarmed man during an April stand-off have been cleared of wrong-doing by the state. The Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice recently issued its completed investigation into the deadly use of force that killed Jose Enrique Soto at his mother’s home on April 2 in Manchester. State Police Release Info On Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting In Danbury
State Police have released information on the fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred at a senior residence complex late Saturday in Danbury. Danbury police officers responded to 25 Memorial Drive in Danbury for the report of a suspicious man.
