More than 20 pro-Palestinian protesters have been arrested at the University of Connecticut after being told to leave by university officials. CBS affiliate WFSB Eyewitness News 3 reported that 23 protestors were arrested on Tuesday, April 30 as UConn Police moved in to take down the encampment. Police Seek Help Finding Missing UConn Student
Police are searching for a 19-year-old college student who has been missing for three days. “Betty” Li Furong, was last seen Sunday, Sept. 3 in Tolland County on the University of Connecticut's main campus in Storrs, officials said. "UConn is working to determine the student’s location and circumstances, including the possibility that she left campus voluntarily," University spokeswoman Stepanie Reitz said. A Connecticut man was charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing. The incident took place in Tolland County around 1 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29 in Willington on Cisar Road. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers responded to an assault and located a 54-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Alleged racist posts from incoming and current University of Connecticut students are under investigation, possibly leading to some admissions being revoked. Man Takes State Police On High-Speed I-84 Chase With Flat Tire
A man wanted for a domestic violence assault and shooting took Connecticut State Police on a high-speed chase on I-84 at speeds reaching 95 mph with a flat tire for part of the chase. Daniel Ballard, 36, of Coventry, was arrested on numerous charges including reckless driving, reckless endangerment, and engaging police in pursuit, among others following an attack on a woman and her children, according to Coventry Police.
