Passenger Caught With Firearm, Ammunition in Checked Bag At Bradley Airport
A passenger was arrested after they were caught with a firearm and numerous rounds in their checked bag at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, officials said. The incident happened in Hartford County on Monday, Oct. 30, when Transportation Security Administration officers at the airport, located in Windsor Locks, discovered an improperly packaged 9mm firearm inside the person's checked bag, TSA New England announced. TSA agents arrested a Connecticut man with a loaded pistol as he tried to board Westchester County Airport, authorities said. Agents spotted the .45 caliber handgun and seven bullets in the man's carry-on luggage as it went through the X-ray machine at the Westchester Airport on Monday, Feb. 13, TSA said. The former principal of a Jewish day school in Connecticut was charged after she allegedly tried to carry a loaded firearm onto a flight at Bradley International Airport. Transportation Security Administration officers stopped a Fairfield County man from carrying a handgun onto his flight at LaGuardia Airport.
