Westport Man Charged With Assault For Allegedly Knocking Over Country Club Employee, Laughing A Fairfield County man was charged with alleged assault after he reportedly knocked over a country club employee and then laughed. Walter Francis, age 58, of Westport, was arrested on Tuesday, July 23, for the Monday, June 3 incident at the Birchwood County Club in Westport. According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police, an investigation into the assault began after the employee contacted police and said while working, they were pushed to the ground while crouched down stacking menus. The victim told police they were not injured but felt threatened and scared by Francis, Woods said. …

Mercedes Martinez, 60, and Hector L. Lopez, 43, both of Stamford, were arrested on Friday, July 5, and charged with manslaughter, said Stamford Police  Lt. Michael A. Noto. Former Dentist Sentenced For Sexually Assaulting, Stalking Patients In Connecticut A former dentist who admitted to stalking and sexually assaulting patients in Connecticut will spend at least seven years in prison after pleading guilty earlier this year. Jeffrey Krahling of Wallingford was sentenced in New Haven Superior Court to a term of between seven and 15 years in prison, which will be suspended after seven years. He pleaded guilty earlier this year to two counts of sexual assault, burglary, intimidating a witness, tampering with a witness and possession of child porn.
