Trio Nabbed For Westport Car Burglary After Ring Doorbell Alerts Resident, Police Say A 19-year-old and two juveniles were nabbed for allegedly burglarizing a vehicle after a Fairfield County homeowner was alerted to the crime by a Ring doorbell. The incident took place in Westport around 12:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 26 at a residence near Compo Beach. According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police, the resident reported that their Ring doorbell camera activated when a suspect entered a vehicle parked in the driveway. With temperatures expected to rise in the coming days, beaches in Westport, Norwalk, and Fairfield were forced to be closed to swimming as health officials deal with a weekend sewage leak.
