Police announced the arrest of a Connecticut man who is accused of burning car tires in his yard and then threatening to kill police officers.
John Katrick, age 52, was taken into police custody on Friday, April 29, following an incident that happened in New Haven County, authorities said.
Police responded to a residence on Home Acres Avenue in Milford at about 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, after receiving a report that Katrick was playing loud music in his driveway and disturbing the peace of the neighborhood, authorities said.

Man Starts Fire At Starbucks In Fairfield County, Fights Officers, Police Say
A man was arrested after allegedly starting a fire at a Starbucks in Fairfield County and then fighting with police.
Joseph Graff, age 26, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 10, after police responded to the coffee shop in Greenwich.
Once police arrived on the scene, they found that Graff had started a fire on the side of the building on Greenwich Avenue and began resisting arrest by running into the highway, blocking traffic, said Lt. Martin O'Reilly of the Greenwich Police.

Woman Suspected Of Starting Beach, Brush Fire Is Arrested
Police grabbed a suspect connected to one of 2020’s Milford brush fires.
On Sunday, Dec. 13, Milford Police arrested a Stratford woman on an active warrant.
Colleen Gallagher, 49, of Stratford, was taken into police custody around 9:20 p.m. Sunday.
Gallagher allegedly set the brush fire at Walnut Beach in January this year, police said.
Gallagher has been charged with reckless burning, criminal mischief in the third degree, and breach of peace in the second degree, police said.
A court date has been scheduled for Gallagher, Jan. 18, 2021.

A man has been charged with lighting illegal fireworks that caused a large brush fire to break out in Fairfield County, police say.
Steven Botelho, 38, of Fairfield was arrested on Monday, Aug. 24 in connection to the incident that happened earlier this summer.
At about 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, the Fairfield Police Department received numerous reports of aerial fireworks in the area of Chestnut Street/Kings Highway in Fairfield.
