Highway Superintendent Retires After 44 Years With Fairfield County Town Where He Was Born
A Fairfield County native who has worked for the public works department in the town he was born in for 44 years is calling it a career. New Canaan Public Works Highway Department Superintendent Mose Saccary recently retired. Closure For Construction Scheduled On Busy Roadway In Darien
A busy roadway will be closed to through traffic in Fairfield County during construction. The closure on Old Kings Highway in Darien on the bridge over Stony Brook River will run from Tuesday, Aug. 15, through Sunday, Aug. 27. All residences will remain accessible throughout the construction period, the Darien Department of Public Works said. Emergency services will be able to reach all residences in the area. Danbury Begins Annual Attack Against Potholes
To combat the annual issue of potholes and to keep roads safe and smooth, the City of Danbury has hired Patch Management Inc. to fill potholes across town.
