Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Woman In Bethel A Bethel man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman to death at an area home. David MacDowell, 34, was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 24, after coming to the Bethel Police Department minutes after police had responded to a home on Plumtrees Road and discovered the woman suffering from several stab wounds, Bethel Police said. The unidentified woman was transported to Danbury Hospital where she died from her wounds, the department said. MacDowell was charged with manslaughter, pending a further investigation, police said.
