1 Person Burned During Westport House Fire
One person received burns to their hands while attempting to put out a house fire in Fairfield County. The blaze occurred in Westport around 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 12, on Riverside Avenue. First arriving firefighters reported smoke and fire visible from the front right side of the home, said Assistant Chief Philip Hessberger, of the Westport Fire Department. 3-Vehicle Westport Crash Leaves Driver Trapped In SUV
One person was injured in a three-car crash in Fairfield County. The crash took place in Westport around 6:15 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9 at 40 Bridge St. The Westport Fire Department along with Westport Police and EMS responded to a multi-vehicle crash in front of 40 Bridge St, said Philip Hessberger, assistant chief of the Westport Fire Department. Shop Heavily Damaged During Fire In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County bridal shop was heavily damaged during a fire over the weekend. The fire started around 6 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 16 at the Bridal and Evening Wear Shop located at 246 Post Road East in Westport. According to Assistant Fire Chief Philip Hessberger, the fire was discovered after the Westport Fire Department received a commercial automatic fire alarm.
