Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle Crossing Busy Greenwich Intersection A pedestrian suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Old Greenwich. It happened at about 9:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, according to Lt. John Slusarz of the Greenwich Police Department. A vehicle that had been traveling southbound on Sound Beach Avenue made a left turn into the driveway for the Arcadia Parking Lot when it struck a pedestrian, Slusarz said.  The pedestrian was treated at the scene by first responders and taken to the hospital. Police said that a woman was hospitalized after being struck while walking in a crosswalk near a garage shortly after 8 a.m. Speed was not believed to be a factor in the incident, and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
