Woman Attacked During Attempted Carjacking: Search On For Suspects In Shelton A hunt is on for two Hispanic men who allegedly attacked a woman during an attempted carjacking in Fairfield County. It happened in Shelton around 7:15 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Mont's Mart at 198 Leavenworth Road in Shelton. During the incident, the two men attempted to steal a parked Nissan Murano. One of the men got in the parked SUV but could not drive away.  The owner of the SUV, a 37-year-old woman, came out of the store and confronted the man.  A struggle ensued and the woman threw a coffee she just purchased in his face, said Det. Fire Risk Leads To Recall Of More Than 200K Nissan Cars, SUVs Nissan is recalling more than 200,00 vehicles that could get a little too hot to handle. Nissan announced the recall of 215,000 vehicles that may have anti-lock brake problems that may prompt actuator pumps to leak brake fluid onto internal circuit boards, causing fires. The recall is similar to one in 2016. The recall comes after Nissan received a complaint in January about an illuminated ABS warning light in a car that had been repaired during the 2016 recall.
