K9 Apollo, who worked for the New Canaan Police Department, retired on Monday, March 18, according to the human officers he worked with. Originally hired in 2015, K9 Apollo was assigned to K9 Officer Sebastian Obando. New Canaan Woman Nabbed For Driving Under Influence Of Drugs, Police Say A Fairfield County woman has been charged with allegedly driving under the influence of drugs after a vehicle crash. Patricia Pamela Petraglia, age 71, of New Canaan, was found sitting in a vehicle in the driveway of a Silvermine Road residence on Monday, March 4 after leaving a crash in Darien. According to Lt. Marc DeFelice of the New Canaan Police, officers spoke with the operator and identified her as Petraglia. Officers detected that Petraglia was impaired, however it was not due to alcohol. New Canaan Man Charged With Cruelty To Animals A Fairfield County man was charged with alleged animal cruelty after he was stopped by police on a warrant. Jack Hawkins, age 47, of New Canaan, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 7 on New Norwalk Road in New Canaan. According to Lt. Marc DeFelice, of the New Canaan Police, Hawkins was stopped for an active warrant in association with an animal call in January. Hawkins was placed under arrest and transported back to New Canaan Police Headquarters and charged with animal cruelty. Margaret Jean Marshall, age 49, of New Canaan, was charged on Friday, Feb. 2, after she was stopped on Cherry Street for driving without a front license plate, said Lt. Jorge Lopez, age 34, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 6, following a routine traffic stop in New Canaan. According to Lt.
