Major Companies Say They'll Cover Employee Travel Expenses For Abortions
Several major media companies will cover travel costs for employees seeking abortions in response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs. Wade, Variety reports. This comes after the court ruled 6-3 to overturn people's constitutional right to the procedure on the morning of Friday, June 24. Companies including Disney, Netflix, Paramount, Comcast, Sony and Meta confirmed to Variety that they will be reimbursing their employees who travel across state lines to get an abortion. Movie Starring Julia Roberts Films In Region
A new Netflix movie that stars Julia Roberts had a days-long shoot at a location in Northern Westchester County. A three-day shoot for "Leave the World Behind" took place at a location on Todd Road near the Katonah-Lewisboro border, according to Lewisboro Town Clerk Janet Donohue. Filming took place from Tuesday, March 17, through Thursday, March 19, Donohue said. The film is directed by Sam Esmail and also stars Mahershala Ali and Ethan Hawk. According to Deadline, the film is a thriller based on Rumaan Alam's novel by the same name.

Netflix Increases Subscription Price
Netflix subscribers can soon expect to see a different kind of Stranger Things on their upcoming bills as the company announced a price hike for new subscriptions that will soon impact existing members. In the US, the company said that Netflix’s basic plan, which allows for one stream on one screen at a time and does not have HD streaming, will now be charged $9.99 a month, up from $8.99. A star of the popular drama series "Stranger Things" who grew up in Westchester County has announced where he's headed for college. The actor on the Netflix show rocked a Wharton UPenn hoodie and held hands with his twin sister Chloe, while opening his acceptance letter on his laptop in a video posted to TikTok, as originally reported by Page Six. The 17-year-old Scarsdale native plays Will Byers on "Stranger Things." The show's fourth season is set to premiere next year, when Schnapp begins classes at the Ivy League school in Philadelphia.
