Firefighter Injured After 2-Alarm Blaze Breaks Out At Home In Fairfield County
A firefighter was injured and a family of five displaced during a large house fire in Fairfield County. The blaze broke out in Stamford around 5 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 29 on Fairfield Avenue on the city's west side. Stamford firefighters from the West Side Fire Station, located one block away from the fire arrived on location in less than one minute, said Deputy Chief Matt Palmer. Numerous Pets Rescued After House Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield County
Firefighters worked quickly to rescue multiple pets from a Fairfield County home after a two-alarm blaze broke out overnight, officials announced. Stamford firefighters were dispatched to a Lincoln Avenue home at 9:14 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, where there was a report of a house fire that had broken out. Within minutes, officials said that crews went to work to knock down the flames, and as firefighters worked their way into the residence, several pets were located and safely rescued by crews. Fire Breaks Out At Home In Fairfield County Just After Nor'easter Arrives
Just as a fierce Nor'easter moved into Fairfield County, firefighters were out battling an early-morning house fire. The fire started around 1:20 a.m., Monday, Feb. 1, at a home on Treat Avenue in Stamford. Vehicle Crashes Into Home In Fairfield County
A driver slammed into a home in Fairfield County, causing extensive damage. The incident took place in North Stamford around 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29. Firefighters arrived on the scene and found that a passenger vehicle had collided with an attached garage of the residence at 32 Lynam Road, said Stamford Deputy Fire Chief Matt Palmer. Firefighters found a significant amount of damage to the garage area of the home and immediately began efforts to stabilize the structure, he added. Blaze Breaks Out On 38-Foot Cabin Cruiser In Stamford
A large boat fire broke out in the Dolphin Cove neighborhood of Stamford. Firefighters arrived on the scene less than four minutes after the blaze began at around 12:09 on Saturday, Nov. 21, and found the 38-foot cabin cruiser located at a dock behind 109 Dolphin Cove Quay was well-involved in flames. Three engine companies, one ladder truck, one rescue company, the fireboat, and the shift commander responded, bringing a total of 22 fire personnel to the scene, the Stamford Fire Departments said.
