Restaurant Workers Save Person From Raging Fire In Norwalk A person burned during a blaze in Fairfield County was rescued by good Samaritans who work at a nearby restaurant.  The incident occurred in Norwalk on Friday, April 26, in the rear of 607 Main Ave.  According to Deputy Chief Jonathan Maggio of the Norwalk Fire Department, arriving firefighters found a 1,000-square-foot area of brush burning between the Norwalk River and the rear parking area. Norwalk Carjacker Who Shot Victim In Leg Captured, Police Say A violent carjacker who shot a woman in the leg while stealing her vehicle in Fairfield County has been captured.  Deonte Sayles, age 27, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 9 for the Monday, June 19 incident in Norwalk. On June 19 Norwalk Police received a report of a carjacking at 580 Main Ave. Arriving Patrol Division officers located the victim, who had been shot in the leg during the incident.  Officers rendered aid and the victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 10 Displaced After Condo Fire Breaks Out In Norwalk Nearly a dozen residents were displaced after a condominium fire in Fairfield County. The blaze broke out around 11:45 a.m. Sunday, April 2 in Norwalk at the 30-unit facility in Norwalk at 296 Main Ave. Unit 28 and 27 were involved and were showing fire from both balconies from responders arrived, Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Shay said. Masked, Armed Man Attempts To Rob Dunkin' Donuts In Norwalk Police are searching for a masked man who entered the Dunkin' Donuts and demanded money while displaying a gun. The incident took place around 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, at 470 Main Ave., said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake. During the incident, the clerk told the suspect that the register could not be opened, at which time the suspect fled the scene on foot, Blake said. A woman accused of burglarizing a car and then using a stolen credit at Walmart is at large and Norwalk Police detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying her.
