Mexican National Connected To CT Drug Ring Sentenced A Mexican national connected to a large Connecticut drug ring has been sentenced to prison. Lorenzo Morales-Arambula, also known as “Viejo,” 59, a citizen of Mexico, was sentenced Tuesday, Dec. 22, to 156 months of imprisonment for trafficking cocaine and heroin, said U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut John Durham. 19 Nabbed For Heroin, Cocaine Trafficking In Connecticut; Weapons Seized Nineteen people including 16 from Connecticut were charged on Thursday, April 26 for trafficking cocaine and heroine, according to U.S. Justice Department officials. The other three suspects are from California, Mexico and Puerto Rico, federal prosecutors said.  Seventeen of the 19 defendants were arrested on Wednesday: one defendant is in state custody, and one defendant is in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Michigan.
