37-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Being Hit By 2 Cars Near Intersection In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County resident was seriously injured after being hit by two vehicles. The incident took place in Stamford, around 7:10 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the area of East Main Street, and Lawn Avenue. According to Stamford Police Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, officers responded to a report of a bicyclist hit by a vehicle. The bicyclist, a 37-year-old Stamford resident, suffered visible injuries during the collision that were initially thought to be non-life threatening, Booth said. Police: Teen With Loaded Gun Refused To Put Hands Up To Stamford Officers
Stamford police said a local teen put residents and himself in danger when he ran from officers with a loaded handgun and then refused to raise his hands when ordered. The unidentified 16-year-old, who police said is a chronic offender with numerous arrests, lead officers on a chase with a loaded semi-automatic pistol on Tuesday after officers attempted to stop him, said Stamford Police Capt.
