Connecticut Pizzeria Temporarily Closes After Fire, Owners Say
A Connecticut pizzeria has temporarily closed after a fire caused extensive damage. Fireside Brick Oven, located in New London County, announced in a Facebook post on Friday, Feb. 25, that it is closed until further notice after a fire broke out at the restaurant earlier that morning. The pizzeria is located at 1661 Route 12 in Gales Ferry. The owners thanked the Gales Ferry, Ledyard, and other area fire departments for their quick response. No one was injured in the fire, according to the announcement.

Lottery officials announced that in New London County on Monday, Jan. 10, Oakdale resident Russell Bowen cashed in a winning “Powerball” ticket worth $50,000 on a ticket sold at Henne Penny Hartford Road 23 on the Hartford Turnpike in Waterford. 19: CVS Adds 13 New Drive-Thru Test Sites In CT, Bringing Total To 25
Amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, CVS Health expanded its COVID-19 testing program by announcing 13 additional test sites at select CVS Pharmacy drive-thru locations across Connecticut.
