A large fine arts festival that is a huge favorite with Fairfield County residents will close down a major roadway over the holiday weekend. The Westport Downtown Association Fine Arts Festival -- which runs Saturday, May 27 through Sunday, May 28 -- will close Main Street between Post Road East and Avery Place and Elm Street between Main Street and Bedford Square, said Westport Police Lt. Maker Faire Should Draw Quite A Crowd In Westport The Westport Police Department advises all residents and motorists that the 2018 Maker Faire takes place on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The 7th annual Maker Faire consists of a number of attractions stretching from the Taylor Lot (lower library lot) on Jesup Road to the Veteran’s Green on Main Street. There will be numerous other related activities taking place in the Baldwin Lot on Elm Street.
