Easton Resident Unloading Debris Killed After Being Hit By Car Driven By 92-Year-Old A 73-year-old Easton resident died Monday after he was struck by a vehicle at the Trumbull Transfer Station. Alexander Trup was hit around noon on Friday, Feb. 8, while unloading debris from his vehicle when he was hit by a car driven by Edward Socha, 92, of Trumbull, said Trumbull Police Capt. Keith Golding. Witnesses said that Socha was backing toward the building to unload material when his vehicle lurched backward struck Trup, knocking him to the ground.
