A 62-year-old Connecticut man suffered serious injuries after a deer hit by his car crashed through the windshield, striking him. The incident occurred in Hartford County on I-384 near Exit 4 around 7:30 a.m., Thursday, June 6, in Manchester. Two Killed After SUV Hits Deer In New England
Two people were killed on when their SUV hit a deer on a busy roadway in Massachusetts. The incident took place in Middlesex County on I-495 in Chelmsford around 4:50 a.m., Friday, June 3. When troopers arrived on the scene they discovered a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by a 53-year-old Acton man in a stand of trees in the median, said Trooper Brandon Doherty. After a moose was spotted on the UConn campus, Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is advising motorists to be watchful of increased deer and moose activity along roadways. The moose was spotted strolling the streets in Mansfield and later on the campus in Storrs on Saturday, May 8. Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Deer In Fairfield County
A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a deer in Fairfield County. It happened on Friday, Nov. 20 at approximately 3:40 p.m. in the area of 100 Hillspoint Road in Westport. Upon their arrival, emergency responders located and rendered aid to a single male victim, Westport Police said. As fall slowly begins to transition into winter, animal control officials in Fairfield County are warning that there may be an increase in deer and coyote activity in the area. The New Canaan Police Department issued an alert warning that “the hunting and breeding has these animals on the move.
